Visit the local museums.

This is a great option because most cities across the country will have a museum or two and the best bit is they are usually free to enter. It’s a great way to spend a day out with the family, a way of exploring new things and learning new information.

Visit natural attractions.

Again, natural attractions are so beautiful to visit such as mountains, waterfalls, lakes, hills etc. Go for a mini hike or the beach whatever your vibe but there is so much to do! And again, it’s free.

Go to a movie.

Oh, don’t we all just a love a cozy movie and living in a holiday home you have a perfect excuse to chill and watching a film with your family. Grab some popcorn and all your snacks and chill. You could also go to the cinema for a bit of a different experience.

Why not go for an afternoon tea?

Being in the UK tea is life! And another fancy delight is having an afternoon tea. Many towns will have café’s that will provide afternoon tea for their customers and it’s a perfect way of feeling fancy when you’re on your getaway.

A bike or a hike?

So many people enjoy biking or hiking, or you might want to get started and so many cities across the UK have places where you can go do this. Forests, mountains are just a few places you can do this.

Have a barbeque.

Being in your own house or in a holiday home with a garden you have the perfect opportunity to have a barbeque. Prepare tasty food at a reasonable cost. However, we do have to remember we live in England, and this may not always be possible.

Try the local food.

Each city will have places that are famous for the foods they sell, for example Danish pasties, fish and chips at the beach, chocolate in York, curries in Birmingham etc.
